With the recent release of his pop/jazz vocal CD, “Soul Expressing,” Richard Winzeler brings together his broad musical background, ranging from songwriting/composing/arranging to work in film, television and musical theater. His extensive songwriting background includes songs recorded by Lou Rawls, Diane Schuur, Marjorie Barnes, Terry Steele, Phil Perry, Gladys Knight, and Mona Lisa, including a Top 10 Billboard R&B single, “If I Told You Once”. Richard was also the composer of the musical “Great Expectations” which had it’s world premier at the Utah Shakespearean Festival in 2010.

As musical director for Suzanne Somers and Cathy Rigby, performances included European tours as well as the Kennedy Center, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and Atlantic City. As a solo artist, he has performed at Catalina Bar and Grill and The Gardenia in Hollywood.

Richard discovered his passion for music at the age of four, studying and performing from grade school through college. He attended the University of Miami FL music school, and later the Dick Grove School of Music in Los Angeles.

His CD, “Soul Expressing,” consists of mostly original material, and is available on iTunes and CD Baby.
